California Water Service Company

While Principal at Brick, LLP, the California Water service company engaged Brick, LLP to provide comprehensive programming, building design, interior design for a new operations and administrative facility for their Los Altos district office.

Located in the Loyola corners neighborhood of Los Altos, the project design had to consider an extremely eclectic mix of contextual influences. Located in a retail overlay zone, adjacent to a sensitive watershed, single family neighborhood and an industrial neighbor, the project design had to consider a wide array of aesthetic and functional responses that considered its widely unique neighbors and the company’s operational needs.

Traditional materials as well as cutting edge, high-performance sustainability have been brought together in the project design to be respectful of the past, but look toward the future.
